And the “wind of change” has come. Well, kinda.

I’m refrained from revealing too many things here due to many reasons. But the drift is, I’m moving on in terms of career and I’m going to do something different next year. I hope it will be a good difference and I’m excited about it! No I’m not giving up my actuarial career/knowledge, it will always be at the back of my head and I’ll always have bits of actuarial geek inside me.

I’ve been looking at various sources of side income too so if anyone knows of a good way to earn extra side income, let me know! Forex has been superb at giving me happy moments during the day and even better at making me wanna throw the HTC down the floor during distress times. So, I’ve learnt – not to rely on Forex too much. It will remain as a hobby to me.

And btw, HTC phones suck. Don’t know how Andrew can tahan.

Oh, I have some good news to share today. We finally got the keys to the condo!! *Phew*. Like finally. We signed the S&P before on Feb 12th and it’s been exactly (or more than) 3 months goodness. And this is supposed to be a “faster” case because the seller did not owe the bank any money. The system here is really crap.

Anyway, the point is: renovation can finally start. Woot!! I am so excited!!

I know lots of you out there are just as excited as I am. I can’t wait to see the finished product, and I swear I will be neat and tidy and I will dedicate my time in cleaning up the condo. It has been stated under my resolution of 2010. :P

There’s a lot of things to consider, and I’m already having headaches wondering which hob and hood to choose, whether to get a microwave oven or a conventional oven + steamer, whether extensive usage of microwave oven will kill you… which washing machine, TV, fridge to get. And all these is taking into account that all the furnishing/tiles/materials are being taken care of by Christine! I seriously cannot imagine if I have to choose between different sets of tiles, color combinations, materials for kitchen, bedroom, etc as well. I mean, I’ll have to choose eventually, but Chris would have narrowed it down for us to choose and she will have her own recommendations. Most (if not all) of the time we trust her, so we will go with her decisions.  :)

Any recommendations on the brands of the above furnitures/electrical appliances?

I’m seeing the 3D design by Chris this Sunday. She said we’re in for a “shock”.

!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!

So far I’ve already had a shock last week when she revealed some hints to me on what she’s thinking of doing for the tiles. She didn’t even want to reveal it until we insist on the sofa color. Hendrik really liked one particular color so we wanted to put that image that we have in mind into place. And then Chris was like……. “but I was planning to give you *******  …” and that changes the whole game.

Somehow I still haven’t really gotten over it but I’m really excited to see it on 3D. I think it will look good and it’ll be unique and different from the rest. :)  Hendrik’s excited too because he has never thought of that idea. Hahahaha – and he can’t get over the “boring beige” comment that Chris made, because that’s exactly what has been in his mind! He was thinking of giving his tiles the “boring beige” color! LOL.

Now I’m really glad we bought the unit as a bare unit. It saves all the hassle.

So, please let me know if you have recommendations on hob/hood, oven, washing machines, etc.

And I also need help on my wedding. Sigh. I need an emcee or emcee/live band. I haven’t engage on photographers yet either. Sigh. And florist, invitation cards, etc.

SIGH.

Please let me know if any of you have any recommendations on the above…………………….
